This document specifies how JIZO ("us", "we", or "our") handles the data, which identifies us and forms the part of JIZO Terms and Conditions document. JIZO aims to protect the privacy of its users’, both travelers and creators, and all the information they are providing on the Site (https://jizo.com). Thus, all the following statements describe the privacy practices that are applied on JIZO platform, regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users and of the Site.
Your privacy is important to us, and we use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, travelers, creators and any others who access or use the Service. By providing your personal information on the Site, you automatically agree to all the statements of this privacy policy and agree to indicate all of your personal details according to the following statements.
1. Interpretation Of The Terms
“The Site” - website with the Internet adress www.jizo.com
“The User” - any user of JIZO website, who represents a physical person, has already reached 18 years old and who has registered on JIZO website and wants to use its services in the future.
“The Creator” - a person who has created the travel group or route on JIZO website and who offers his/her services to the users.
2. Registration
2.1. In order to join or create the travel groups on JIZO website, contact other travelers and creators and use any other JIZO services, The User have to registrate on the website by joining via one of the offered social media pages.
2.2. The User accepts and guarantees that all the personal information, provided by him/her on JIZO website during the registration belongs to him/her and are real, just and truthful.
2.3. By joining JIZO website The User understands and accepts that JIZO website keeps, handles and protects the personal data, provided by The User during the registration
2.4. When you create a profile on JIZO website, you must provide us with some of your personal information, including first and last name, date of birth, city of residence, personal hobbies and interests and etc. Later, in your Personal Profile details we also ask you to provide us with such information as your spoken languages, social media links, phone number and etc.
2.5. JIZO values and respects your privacy and we also respect your right to make informed decisions about your personal information. Thus, your email address, such information as your phone number always stay confidential. We do not share this personal information with any other users of JIZO and need it only in order for JIZO Team to be able to contact you directly in case of any need or emergency. Your email is also used by JIZO to notify you of any changes made to the website or services that we offer, and send you different offers related to the service in the future.
2.6. For the better functionality and display of JIZO website, you also need to upload your profile picture to fully complete your personal profile, in order to access all the functions of the website and also to increase the level of trustworthiness of your profile.
2.7. Do not disclose any sensitive or private information about yourself or any other information you do not feel comfortable about being public. You should also not upload any pictures which you do not want to be public.
2.8. By uploading your profile picture you also agree and accept that this is the photo of you and not of any other people, landscapes or cityscapes, drawings, animals and that it was not stolen from any other websites or third parties.
2.9. When you create a JIZO account, you will be asked to registrate either using your email address or social media pages like Facebook or Google. This will authorize us to access your public information from the account, consistent with your privacy settings. You will have an option to invite your Facebook/Google friends to join JIZO, which will allow us access your friend list on those websites.
3. Collection Of Information
While using JIZO website, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact and/or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your full name and email address ("Personal Information"). We will also collect non-identifiable information that does not allow direct association with any specific individual, as well as your profile info and any other account associated details for our marketing and analytical purposes.
This includes cookies and other technologies to improve our users’ experience and overall performance and services of our website.
We use the information collected:
1) to communicate with you;
2) to improve The Site and see the number of current users;
3) to customize the services, advertisements and/or products we provide to you;
4) to assist with our product and service development;

JIZO collects the personally identifiable information, provided by its users, both travelers and creators, including the first name, last name, date of birth, email address and contact number in order to authenticate its members and to send different emails and notifications, related to the website, its changes, events and any other related updates. Even though a user`s age is required while completing the registration of his or her profile, a user`s birthday is never displayed at his or her profile page and is never shared to other users or unregistered visitors. The date of birth is required by JIZO only in order to make sure that the user is 18 years old or above and to send our greetings to him/her on this day.
Similarly, just like the date of birth, a user’s email address, mobile phone number and Skype account is never displayed anywhere on the website and is never shared to other users or unregistered visitors of JIZO website. All the members of JIZO website communicate with each other only through its service without disclosing their email addresses, phone numbers or any other ways of direct communication.
JIZO platform also collects other information for its members profiles, including member`s current location, his/her hometown and any other travel-related information to complete the registration and to fill in a member’s profile page. This information, as well as a member`s profile photo, his/her first name and last name and the languages a member is speaking, is displayed and shared with other members and visitors in order to facilitate the interaction on the website.
All the members of JIZO website can add, edit or remove their profile information and other content of their profile page, including photos and videos at any time by logging into their account. Nevertheless, members do not have the option of deleting their account from the website. However, it can be removed by your request.
4. Log Data
JIZO website collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data"). It includes such information as your computer's Internet Protocol address ("IP"), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and different other statistics.
In addition, we may also use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor
and analyze this.
5. Visibility of your profile
When you register on JIZO website either as traveler or as the group creator, all your personal information provided in your profile. except of the date of birth, email address, Skype and phone number as well as your created groups are visible to all the rest of JIZO users and also to non-JIZO members and is also traceable by search engines on the Internet.
6. Communications
JIZO website may also use your Personal Information to contact you with our newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and any other information that may be important for you as user of JIZO platform. Of course, you will always have the opportunity to opt out of this service anytime you want. However, you may not receive emails and notifications about the changes to the Privacy Policy or Terms and Conditions made on JIZO platform, even though, we always botify our users about any changes made. In case when you continue using the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of all the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.
7. Cookies
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive.

Besides that, JIZO platform also uses Google Analytics to collect information about users' usage of our website. We use this information to make reports which help us improve our website. These cookies collect information anonymously.
8. Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is always 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Also, if you use the links to enter the third-party websites, we are not responsible for your Personal or any other information, nor are we guaranteeing that they use your personal and non-personal information the same way as we do.
You should check with each individual websites’ own Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions before continuing to use them.
Also, you should keep in mind that all photographs, travel details and comments you post, as well as your profile picture, personal profile and username can be seen and accessible by other users.
We are not responsible for what kind of information you share and if there is any harm caused due to your sharing of that information.
In case you would like to delete your account per request, it will take some time to be completely removed from the JIZO system.
9. Third Party Accounts
You will have an option to create your JIZO account via an already existing account on social media websites, such as Facebook or Google. JIZO website does not store your Facebook or Google account passwords.
Your account information is not disclosed to JIZO and you are free to cancel any of your social networking website connections with JIZO at any time. We do not collect or gain access to your Facebook or Google pictures, locations, statuses or any other data unless if it is made public, which could include such as email addresses, profile pictures, friend lists and birthdates. You will have an option to choose if you want to invite your Facebook friends to JIZO platform and what information you share via Facebook or Google social pages. We do not control this and we are not responsible for the content in third party accounts.
10. Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of March 13, 2020 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to such changes you should not continue to use the services.
11. Children's privacy
JIZO platform is not suitable for or intended for anyone under the age of 18. Anyone below the age of 18 should not use the services, provided by JIZO platform. We do not allow the users below this age to register on the platform and we do not knowingly collect, maintain or use personal information from children under the age of 18.
