Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (as amended from time to time, the “Terms”) govern the use of ‘jizo.com’ platform services (the “Services”) and access of such Services through the website www.jizo.com (the “Site”) or application for mobile devices (the “Application”).

Please read these Terms carefully as by using the Site or Application, irrespective of whether you become a registered user of the Services or not, your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service. If you do not accept and agree to all the terms of the agreement, you should not use the services. We are eligible to change these terms any time for any reason and we are not obliged to give a notice to our users. However, if the changes include changes to your obligations or rights, we will notify you by reasonable means, such as notifications on the website or via email. By continuing to use the Services after the changes, you agree to be bound by the new Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must terminate your JIZO account and cease from using the Services.



“The Site” - website with the Internet adress www.jizo.com

“The User” - any user of JIZO website, who represents a physical person, has already reached 18 years old and who has registered on JIZO website and wants to use its services in the future.

“The Group Creator” - a person who has created the travel group or route on JIZO website and who offers his/her services to the users.

“Content” means text, graphics, images, music, software, audio, video, information or other materials.

“User Content” means all Content that a User posts, uploads, publishes, submits or transmits to be made available through the Site, Application or Services.

“we”, “us” and “our” are references to JIZO Team and Owners.



The main role on JIZO platform is represented by “Group Creator”, which is a broad definition of a person who travels to a certain location and is looking for some travel companions to travel together and/or wishes to share his personal experience with travelers he meets on JIZO platform, so that they could become acquainted and even become friends, based on the similar interests, hobbies and preferences to plan trips together in the future. 

Besides that, a Creator can also be a professional traveler that regularly creates tours to the certain areas and who is qualified enough to safely lead travelers through their travel routes, offer practical advice or share his/her experience about “most interesting sightseeings”, ‘best bars and restaurants’, ‘non-touristic spots’, ‘shopping areas’ etc.



1. Eligibility. In order to use the Services, you must be at least 18 years old or above.

2. Creating an Account. In order to use JIZO platform, you should have an existing Facebook, Google or Linkedin account to join the website. If you use your pre-existing login, you will authorize us to access and use the public information you have shared on your other accounts, such as, but not limited to, email address, profile pictures and Facebook friends. 

Besides that, after your registration you will be requested to provide your email address and phone number in order to verify your profile and information that you added.

3. Suspension of Account. This agreement will bind you and stay in effect while you use the Services and/or have a JIZO account. You may terminate your account at any time for any reason by sending our team a request, and we will reserve the right to suspend your account without notice if we believe you have not followed or if you breach the Agreement. In this case, you are not allowed to create a new account without our written permission.

4. Account Information and Security. Other users will be able to see your information, such as your name, and any material you send or post to the website will be considered non-proprietary and not confidential. You are solely responsible for sharing only the information you will be comfortable with being public.You are also responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and password information, and you are alone responsible for all activities under those credentials or if you fail to keep the information secure. If you notice unauthorized use of your login credentials at JIZO platform, please notify us immediately.



We want to keep our JIZO community safe and pleasant for everyone, so there are rules you have to follow in regards, but not limited to, postings, pictures and information sharing.

1. Do not bully, intimidate or harass anyone, or be disrespectful in any other way.

2. Do not post content you do not have the authority, permission and/or consent to use.

3. Do not post any material that is illegal, discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, racist, in breach of confidentiality or privacy or anything that could cause any psychological, financial, and/or physical harm or annoyance to anyone or be objectionable in any other way.

4. Do not post anything harmful including, but not limited to, computer viruses, Trojan horses, corrupted data or any other harmful software or data.

5. Do not use the service for illegal, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory activities.

6. Do not copy or distribute JIZO’s logo or services without JIZO’s prior written authorization.

If we notice activity against these terms, we reserve the right to suspend your account without a warning. You are solely responsible for the content of your account. We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement if deemed necessary.



Personal profiles, made by Creators and Users of JIZO platform, including their indicated information, group pages and reviews, may be searchable by any visitor of our website, not only by the members registered on JIZO website. Nevertheless, your contact information, including your telephone number, Skype and email address, is hidden from all the others and is used by JIZO only in the rare cases when we need to contact you urgently.

Any other changes on your profile page, including editing your photo gallery, profile information or group pages, can also be seen by our moderators in order to prevent appearance of any inappropriate content on JIZO platform. Also the best photos, shared by our creators or travelers may be chosen by our moderators in order to represent pages of certain country or a city on our website and in promotion of JIZO services.

JIZO always respects your right holder’s authority, so in such case you will be informed about that by JIZO Team members and will be asked for permission to use your photo content. 

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). Unless mentioned otherwise, you give us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any of your shared intellectual property content, such as pictures and public comments, for any and all purposes without the need to compensate. However, you are solely responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and having the appropriate rights to your content before publishing or sharing anything.

We want to keep our website’s content safe and reliable. We try to keep it bug free but we cannot guarantee it to be always bug and error-free or that our content is accurate, current or without mistakes. Please notify us if you notice any mistakes or problems with the content.

We reserve the right to delete the content and/or accounts that we believe it to breach or violate this contract or our policies, or otherwise to be harmful in any way either to other users or JIZO.



All Intellectual Property to the Content (except for the User Content) featured or displayed on the Site or Application or via the Services, is the property of JIZO Owners and is protected by copyright laws, patent and trademark laws and other legislation. You will not remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark, service mark or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying the Site, Application or Services.



Please keep in mind that we do not do background checks or check the authenticity of our users. Thus, you are solely responsible for all communications and interactions with other users and take necessary precautions if deciding to meet other users in person.

However, we want to keep our community safe and there are some commitments you must follow when using the service.

1. Do not provide any false information.

2. Do not create more than one personal account.

3. Do not create a profile with another person’s personal information, nor distribute content you do not have the permission to use.

4. Keep your information accurate and up-to-date.

5. Keep your login and account information safe, and do not let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for everything that is done under your account. Please let us know if you suspect that your account is being misused.

6. We reserve the right to delete the content and/or accounts that we believe to breach or violate this contract or our policies.



We disclaim any and all liability to you for the supply of the Services we provide to you to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law. If we are found liable for any loss or damage to you such liability is limited to the amount of any service fee that we may have received in respect of which a claim has arisen. We cannot accept any liability for any loss, damage or expense, including any direct or indirect loss such as loss of profits, to you howsoever arising.

We do not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss or damage to goodwill, loss or damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of Site, Application and Services or for any services we may provide to you.

Your use of the Site, Application and Services is without any warranty or guarantee and is entirely at your own risk.

We do not accept any liability for any delays, failures, errors or omissions or loss of transmitted information, viruses or other contamination or destructive properties transmitted to you or your computer system via the Site and Application.



We are not responsible for your violations of any laws, regulations or ordinance, your participation in anything that may violate these terms or your use or misuse of this website, whether online or offline. We are not responsible for any content or information you share or provide, nor are we responsible for the possible consequences, although we have stated in our terms that you should not provide any objectionable content that could be harmful in any way to anyone. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims you may receive due to your usage of this website, whether it be direct, indirect, incidental, special or general. You will pay all legal fees, costs and expenses associated with such cases and claims.



By joining JIZO Platform you accept and understand that JIZO will charge you the group entrance fee of $10 per each Group that you want to join. The same applies to the Group Creator who will be charged a $10 fee for every group he is creating (with no travelers limitations for each of them). This will provide users with a large range of JIZO services and also allow you to connect with unlimited travelers from around the world.

All payments will be enabled by JIZO, who holds the right to change fees anytime at any geographic location. The fee will include all taxes and fees. Any fees or charges paid by you are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise determined by JIZO.

Payment can be handled by different third parties in different geographic locations. JIZO reserves the right to use a second payment method(if available in your account), if the primary one fails.

After a successful connection, meeting up in real life depends on the users on the trip. Please, be aware that JIZO in no way controls that or ensures that.

10.2 Membership and fees

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the Website for any reason or no reason. We may terminate your paid membership (hereinafter also referred to as the "membership") upon sending notice to you at the email address you provide in during registration or other email address as you may later provide us. If we terminate your membership because you have breached this Terms, you shall not be entitled to the refund of any unused portion of subscription fees. Even after your membership is terminated, all provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

10.3 Membership Renewal

Your membership will be automatically renewed after it reaches its expiration date. Recurring billing shall continue until such time as the member cancels the service. You consent to and accept responsibility for all recurring charges to your credit or debit card (or other payment method, as applicable) based on this automatic renewal feature without further authorization from you and without further notice. It is solely the member’s responsibility to cancel the service and the payment. You can opt out of auto-renewal at any time in your profile.

The renewal membership fee will be the same as when you first subscribed (unless your first month was purchased at a promotional price), plus any applicable taxes, unless we notify you at least 10 days prior to the end of your current term that the membership fee will increase. 

Please, be aware that if you rejoin the Website, new fees may apply.

10.4 Refund Policy

Members can create an account on the Website for free and try out the Website during the 7 days free trial before deciding whether to pay for the membership. Membership give you an access to all features of the Website, but it does not give you any guarantees of level of the service.

The Website can refund you money only for the periods of your subscription, during which you did not use paid features. If during the subscription periods you use paid features on the Website, the fee for such periods will not be returned. In a case of a refund, the membership will be canceled.

In case if the Group Creator cancels the group a Traveler also receives a refund or gets the suggestions to be redirected to another group of his/her choice. The Traveler will also be informed via the provided email address and via the Website Notifications. The Refund is not possible in the case, if Group Creator cancels the group because of one of the following reasons:

  1. Group didn’t reach its minimum number of travelers

  2. The event a group was going to visit was suddenly cancelled

  3. Major natural or technological disaster in the region

  4. Mass protests or political instability in the region

  5. State of emergency or military actions in the region

  6. Health problems etc.

*In the cases described above, JIZO accepts that the Cancellation Reason provided by the Group Creator is reliable and trustworthy and the group may be cancelled. Thus, JIZO platform is not responsible for the case, when traveler has already bought airline or any other tickets, booked hotel etc., while the group was cancelled.

Please, be aware, the group entrance fee is non-refundable in case, if you as a Traveler decide to leave the Group that you have joined.

All refund requests must be made by the member itself or legal representative of the member. Refund requests must be made in a written form via e-mail and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.

Refunds are not made to the members which abuse and do not follow the Terms, the Privacy Policy, any applicable law or regulation and/or commit administrative or criminal violations.

*We do not refund members who were reported by other members of the Website and inspection of activities of such the member is initiated.



When you join a group on JIZO platform and are planning to travel somewhere abroad, you automatically confirm that you are aware of being responsible for ensuring before traveling that you meet all the necessary requirements for entering the foreign country and that all of your necessary travel documents (including passports and visas) are in order. Please, be aware that JIZO platform does not take any responsibilities for your visa fee if it’s required. Also, we accept no liability for those travelers, that are refused in entry on a flight or into any foreign country because of his/her failure to carry the necessary travel documents that are required by any airline or a country, even including those countries, that the traveler may just be passing through on his/her way to his or her final destination. 

JIZO platform also takes no responsibility for incorrect information collected from any of group creators, registered on JIZO platform or for any delay, sudden changes in his/her schedule, strikes, injury, any unexpected weather circumstances or any other incident beyond our ability to control. 

Also JIZO is not responsible for any arrangements made between you, group creator and/or any other group members made during your trip. 

*Although most international travel destinations are safe, traveling to some countries may include bigger risks than to others. JIZO strongly recommends all the travelers to always pay attention on various warnings, guides, advice, announcements and/or any other travel prohibitions connected with their travel destinations.



Your privacy is important to us and you should be familiar with our Privacy Policy. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.



We try to keep the website available at all times. However, the website may encounter downtime due to the server and other technical issues. We might also encounter other issues, such as system failure. We do not guarantee that our website is secure, bug or error-free, or that it works without perfectly without disruptions.The website may be unavailable during maintenance, repair and updates or for reasons beyond our control. We are not liable if this website is unavailable at any time and we are not obligated to give our users and visitors an advance warning of downtime or for maintenance issues.



We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information on this Website is correct. However, we are not responsible for any information that may be incorrect, out of date or incomplete, or what may be caused due to these.

Please keep in mind that we do not do background checks or check the authenticity of our users. Thus, you are solely responsible for all communications and interactions with other users.

We are not responsible for the conduct of other users, and we are not responsible for any events, losses or damages due to the usage of this service (not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, general). We are not responsible for including, but not limited to, death, bodily harm, emotional/psychological distress, financial losses and/or any other physical, emotional, psychological distress or any other damages. You should take necessary precautions when agreeing to interact with other users in person.

We will fully cooperate with the law if deemed necessary, and you are required to comply with all applicable laws when using the service. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in the Terms and Conditions.



We reserve the right to update or change our policies at any time and you should check the Terms and Conditions periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the terms on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified term. If you do not consent to such changes you should not continue to use the services.



If you track YouTube data in our product, we use the YouTube API services to provide the data to you. By using this integration you also agree to the bound by YouTube's Terms of Service.
