This Japanese "matsuri" is the Hachioji Festival. This weekend long festival is near the JR Hachioji train station of Tokyo and usually occurs during the first or second weekend of August! Unfortunately it was cancelled this year but usually about 800,000 visitors attend this festival each year! The "Dashi" float parade, yummy foods and cultural dances occur in the day, this festival also has a great celebration at night as well!
